Co-sponsored by Concordia University , Montreal and Nova Southeastern University, Florida, USA the First International Symposium on Teaching about Extremism, Terror and Trauma was held in March 2015 at Concordia University in Montreal.. The symposium focused on the policy, pedagogy and curricular dimensions of teaching about extremism.  The invitation only symposium hosted scholars and experts from Israel, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Pakistan, and Germany. The symposium engaged over 50 local, national and international delegates and organizations.
